The people behind the work

Dustin founded Northwatch to formalize the work he had been doing for years: building and maintaining the operational and technical infrastructure that private clients and small organizations quietly depend on. His background runs along two tracks that rarely meet in one person: administrative and office-services roles, including a private-client executive assistant position and a year in records at the international law firm Withersworldwide, alongside years of hands-on technology work spanning networks, systems, and digital project coordination.

That breadth is the point. Rather than fixate on a single tool or platform, he looks at how everything connects (communication, access, documentation, workflow) and is usually brought in to create structure, resolve gaps, and then stay involved enough to keep things steady as needs change. Most of his work is referral-based and long-term, which is exactly how he prefers it: quiet, thorough, and built to last. He holds a degree in Computer Science and also co-founded Crimson Water Coffee, a small, owner-run coffee business.

Steven leads technology and systems for Northwatch. He has spent his career in advanced home technology: designing, installing, and maintaining smart-home automation, audio and visual systems, and the secure networks that hold a modern household together, most recently as a service technician building bespoke residential systems at Amplified Lifestyles.

His approach pairs deep technical skill with a real sense of how a space should feel: technology integrated so seamlessly that it works like a silent partner, improving daily life without ever calling attention to itself. He is equally comfortable leading an on-site assessment, programming and calibrating a system, or training a client to use it, and he is known for resolving problems quickly and quietly, so things keep running. Earlier in his career he sharpened that composure in live events and AV integration, where there is no second take.

Johnny keeps Northwatch's operations and finances in order. He maintains the firm's books, tracking income and expenses, reconciling accounts, and keeping records accurate and current, and supports the day-to-day work with document management, research, and logistics, always with an emphasis on accuracy and discretion.

His foundation is in business economics, with a B.S. from UC Davis and coursework across accounting, business law, and operations. He also works as a records associate inside the San Francisco law firm Coblentz Patch Duffy & Bass, managing physical and electronic records to firm and client governance standards, a discipline in confidentiality and information governance that carries directly into Northwatch's privacy-focused practice. He cares about getting the details right and being someone a team can count on.
